Little Engineers Nursery

Little Engineers Nursery

Induction - Starting at the Nursery

Once you have accepted an offered place at the Nursery we start our carefully planned Induction. This is an important time when we start to get to know your child, their interests, experiences of being with others and any individual requirements they may have. This information is captured in our Unique Child forms.

Home visit

If this is going to be the first time your child is attending Nursery, our staff will organise a mutually convenient time to come and visit you and your child at home. This gives your child a chance to meet our staff in the familiar surroundings of their home.

During this visit the staff will talk through the Unique Child form and use this information to plan the setting time. The likes and interests of your child are woven into the planned learning.

If you child has medical needs or dietary requirement, please inform the staff before the home visits and we can draw a care plan at the home visit. This is also a time for parents to ask any questions.

We want children to have a positive first experience at our nursery and believe that this is best achieved through working in partnership.

Induction

During the Induction stage we will arrange with you a time that you and your child can come in for an hour for your child to familiarise themselves with the Nursery, and we will go over necessary paperwork with you.
